I mount my bike from the right , or left, mostly depending on which knee hurts worse THAT day
with the jiffy stand in place, the bike isn't going any where....
Been mounting from the right for more than 50 years. Handle bars to the left makes picking up the bike upright off the stand is easier when turning the bars to the right at the same time.
The thing to do is find a riding buddy that mounts from the opposite side you do. It's easier to park side by side in a car stall that way. It's easier for short people to mount from the right and tall from the left.
Very easy. Stand next to bike on right side. Place left hand on right grip. Lean down to your right as far as you need to, to get your left leg up high enough to get over the seat. Your left hand on the right grip will allow you to lean far, without falling over. You can get that left leg up nice and high.
NELS. You are 79 years old and ain't figured it out by now?. I don't know what to tell ya. I am only 66. I still got 13 years to work on it. Am trying new, different ways all the time. Step on right board with right foot and swing over. Stand on left side . Throw right foot over seat. Just depends.on what part of my body is hurting that day. Two knee replacements. My hat is off to you for still riding. I pray that I am still able to ride at your age. The main obstacle is getting on and off the beast. No
offense. Ride on sir.

No problem getting on the ride from the left except when loaded going on a trip. Having tried getting on from the right I am able to tip the bike up ( had a friend catch it) but a member told me to throw my weight over the top first. Going to try that . RE: Age....riding keeps me young. I'm too young to be old!
NELS. Like the saying goes. "You don't stop riding because you get old. You get old because you stop riding." When loaded. I stand on left side. Hold on to left handlebar with left hand . Grab whatever with right hand and throw right leg forward over rider seat and just slide on seat. Ride on ,man. Respectfully.
