Recently installed a fuel pak 3 and noticed when charging with a battery tender the bike is now producing beeps and other electrical noises. The battery appears to be charging normally, however, im worried as to what the noises are from and if damage to the fuel pak 3 or other components is occurring.
An Ultra Limited is a fairly large animal. Care to tell us from where the beeps and other noises are coming? Does the bike make noises when the tender is disconnected?
I have a tender that when I first plug it in will make some funny noises till it figures out if it needs to charge or sit idle. Are you sure the noise is coming from the bike and not the tender?
I have the new style tender and my bike makes a beeping noise when i plug it in. Drove me crazy until i found where it was coming from. The tender makes my Radio Shack siren beep. Does not do it with the older transformer type tender, only with newer light weight one. Tries a couple of different tender and they all do it, so i'm stuck using the older tender.

Hardheaded I think you may be on the right track. The noises are coming from the just under the seat. I also have a radio shack siren but never noticed the noises prior to installing the Fuel Pak 3. The noises are not that loud, only when the garage is quiet can I hear the beeps. I dont notice anything different with the battery or the Fuel Pak 3 after being on the tender for over a week.

Yep. it's more like a static beep and very faint. I could only hear it my garage when everything was quite. The older style tender does not do this. I called Deltran and they sent me another larger 800ma tender and it does it too. I would think this would take the siren out after a while. I have posted about this before and there should be another thread on this.
What to do ? I don't know. I guess put up with it and let it ruin the siren or try a different brand of a battery maintainer. In the mean time i'll use the older tenders on the bike as i have a few of them still and use the newer ones on the cars. SUCKS !
