How much stretch on the OEM CVO Bags? I am going to have to go aftermarket on the bag lowers because I will never find a set of the OEM
Harley CVO Lowers in Vivid Black.
They're out there, unfortunately few, and far in between, and the good deals don't last long. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...owers-oem.html
You could keep a watchful eye on the HDF Classifieds and hope to get lucky, or post to the Want To Buy sub-forum with your specific needs.
I would like to add stretched bags to my 2019 Electra Glide Standard. I purchased a Fender Fascia with the Tri-Bar Light from a 2019 Street Glide
to add to the rear fender. My problem is that there seems to be a lot of different variations of the stretched bags offered, like 3", 4". 4.5" and 5" along
with either flat bottoms or tapered like the Harley CVO bags. Guess my main goal would be to have the bags match up with the Street Glide Fender Extension
good so that the exhaust cut out looks good. Just wanted to ask if you guys have a suggestion for length of stretch and a brand of bag that would look good.
Any pictures would be appreciated. Thanks........
This has always been a pet peeve of mine. Just find the cvo style bottoms. As long as your fender extension is equal to the inside bag then that is the best you will do. All of the aftermarket bags are junk. Yeah they look good until you start looking real hard at them and will see more ripples and dimples than a fat girls ***. Unless you are doing a full blown stretch with side covers & tank than the cvo style bag is definitely what you want. Bafflingbs set up looks the best of all that is posted on here. I absoluetly cant stand that dirty bird swooshed back crap. Again, just my opinion. Its your bike, do what you like with it.
How much stretch does the OEM CVO or Special model Saddlebags have?
They really are a tapered/slanted bag. The rear portion will cover about half of your exhaust pipe. I personally think they flow nice with the rest of the bike vs hanging 4/5/or6 inch extended bags that flow with nothing. Here is a few ictures of the new style CVO bags I put on my 08.
