Am halfway up the Alaska highway (I will be updating my "ALCAN - Any advice" thread when I get a chance - ALL the advice you guys gave me has been invaluable) I've been able to handle the rain, the metal bridge gratings and even the gravel with no problem. Yesterday, however, we crossed a construction detour that had a patch of mud about 8" deep. Just about lost it in there (06 Ultra). Talk about pucker!

Any tips or advice for handling that monster in the mud?
