OK, I finally took my '07 RK Classic for a ride this weekend and just about fried my eggs! I'm a bit vertically challenged (5'7 w/boots) and when I bought the bike I thought just putting the RK Custom shocks would be enough. Well it ain't. So, I'm think about doing a few things: for heat - SE A/C. Rhinehart tru-duals. Tuner? Dyno. for reducing heightand that leaning forward look - RK Hi-Handlebars and the Sundowner Touring bucket seat but I'm still open for comments.
I recently had V&H Ovals, SE a/c, and SERT installed, and the bike runs much cooler. I just bought the Sundowner, but have not been on a long ride yet.....
I've been reading a lot about Harleys SERT. Since my bike is only a few months old, would it be wise to wait until the warranty is up before I go with their tuner or should I forget about the warranty and just do it? It sounds like the warranty is void if you do go with it.
Get a hold of Mean City Cycles(one of the Forum Sponsers) and let them rework your seat. They can lower it move it forward or back and make it more comfy. Just a thought.
I also have 07 FLHRC and couldn't take the heat anymore. Called FuelMoto and, for $420, added PCIII and K&N AC. Kept stock exhaust. Best upgrade you'll ever do. Cooler, yes, but runs like a new bike. --- I've since added SE pipes. I like 'em but...it's the PCIII and AC that made all the difference. Easy to install. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
