Hey Lady's and Gents, Need help wire a JP ignition switch to my 07 Electra glide. Should have bought the switch with same wire colors as the bike, but i didn't. Adding different bars. Help much appreciated.
B is battery, hot
L is lights
IG is ignition
It's not that hard.
You don't need L being everything needs to be on when the bike's running anyway.
You can connect lights and ignition together.
On an electra glide you have 3 wires, red - battery, red/gray - accessories. and red/black - ignition.
B - Red
IG - Red/gray
L - Red/black
The switch should have 3 positions - off, B connected to IG and B connected to IG and L.. This will give you off, accessories and accessories plus ignition.
