My issue with the cable clutch is mine broke on a trip 2 hours away from home. A big PITA! My new bike, 2020 Ultra Limited, has a great hydraulic clutch. My other bike is a VTX 1800 with 92,000 miles and no issues whatsoever with it's hydraulic clutch.

I don't have any problem with the hydraulic clutches, just that fact that HD does not put any adjustment into it for non HD clutches on the clutch basket end.

So now about half the time you install an after market clutch in the HD hydraulic clutch system, you end up making a new push rod to the length needed isntead.
