Default Tank Emblem Adhesive

Hey All, Emblems came off easy with 4lb fishing line. Now for the foam/adhesive.
Does presoaking the foam/adhesive make it come off any easier?

TIA

I used Goo Gone and let is soak for a while on the tank and the back of the emblems (I was putting mine back on after a paint job). Seemed to work pretty good. WD-40 works also.

It's about 30 degrees in my garage.
I want to rub as little as possible (Vivid Black)
Does the hair dryer and pulling at a 45 really work?

Yes. Also, if you 'stretch' (gently) the foam as you pull it, it releases quite easily. Just like a 3M Command Strip works.

Came here to say this as well. I used half a bottle of Goo Gone and still couldn't get the adhesive off. The eraser wheel had it all off in about 2 minutes.

hair dryer/heat gun (careful if you use a heat gun) mixed with some elbow grease, some wd40 AND goo gone has worked well for me with body moulding adhesives, there is also this...

this works really well, and will not marr up black paint:

I prefer using WD40 over Goo Gone, I have both. They both work but WD40 seems to take less elbow grease and works quicker

Buy an eraser wheel and save yourself a ton of time and your thumbs from peeling.
