Yes, average life is between 2 to 2.5 years. The battery also last a bit longer if you use the engine cut-off switch in addition to the ignition switch.

I have a '05 Ultra thatI bought new 25 months ago. I have 26k miles.
I'm taking a trip out west in Sept. for two weeks and 4500+ miles.
My question is; should I replace the battery before I head out?
I've got an '05 Ultra as well with just about the same milage. I get a code when I start up, a tech last month told me it was from low battery and that I should think of replacing it after this riding season. Seems to drop down on start up but voltage comes back up once charging. Iwas under the impression they had a life of about three years.
