I've been having a problem with my Electra Glide , the engine turns off when i clutch the bike normally when i'm coming off the interstate highway . i brought it to the Harley Dealer and they told me there isn't any problems with the bike . Anyone have any thoughts on this problem , any help would be great .
Hello. I don't have this problem with my 05 Electra Glide but am very interested to hear the responses to your question. I'm sure the experts will be around to help you out.
First thing I'd look at is the neutral safety switch, located on the transmission. Two wires.. Pretty sure there is one on the '07 model. Another thing I'd look at is the side stand switch, if you have one. It could be having a brain fart, and think the stand is down while the bike is in gear. Unlikely, but not impossible.

thanks guys ,, i will look at those things today . nice to see someone has an answer the top mechanic at the dealer who's been there for 18 years just said there's no problems with the bike . Thanks again
My 08 FLHTC would completely shut off when I hit the Resume switch. The shorted wire was rubbing against the bracket that held the stereo in place.
I have to clean my IAC twice a summer. With a stock air cleaner/filter I never had a problem. When I switched to a Screaming Eagle (Hi Po) filter, that's when my problems started. It takes a whole 40 mins to clean. Make sure to cycle the kill switch while you do it. Running high speeds during hot weather is when the problems start for me.
