Been playing a bit in photoshop and wanted to get an idea of what the Fat Daddy 50 spokes would look like on a Road Glide. I played with several wheels and kept coming back to these. Rotors are the Klassic spoke design but for this lil project I just used the stock rotors. Whatcha think? This is not my bike, I've got a Black Pearl. Ordered these today along with the Avon Venoms with the harder compound. Hogpro is great to deal with! Thanks Jerry!
RE: New Wheels.... Radial Spokes... Whatcha think?
Those radial spokes in the pic are just photoshopped, if I am understanding you right?
Would standard spokes would be strong enough?? I know for sure, that at least when it comes to bicycles, that there comes a limit to the amount of weight that a radial spoked wheel can support, and you end up going to a more standard cross pattern.
RE: New Wheels.... Radial Spokes... Whatcha think?
Yes, they are photoshopped in. Took all of 2 minutes lol. I got the pic from the Hog Pro site. They're made by Ride Wright Wheels. I've got a set on my Road Star that's about to be sold. These spokes are .375 or 3/8's of an inch thick. Standard spokes? Hell, I wouldn't ride it with a radial design.
RE: New Wheels.... Radial Spokes... Whatcha think?
Thanks Zed. I ended up going 18/18. I did some research and reading and unless I was not understanding correctly I'd need a new front fender etc. I am about 9 days from being married and I ain't going there with cash plus the trip to Cancun for our honeymoon etc. Not to mention chroming the entire front end. Hell, I am right around $2600 when I am done. The 21/18 looks sweet though I'll admit.
