drivers back rest what years fit?

Default drivers back rest what years fit?
hey i am looking to put a back rest on my 2012 ultra and have seen a few from older bikes but not sure it would fit? is there a change over year that fits just like the seats?

I've used the same one on 7 Ultras from 2001 through 2020.

If you're referring to the backrest mount, I can confirm this H-D mount will fit your bike. I looked at this for my '13 King but decided on the adjustable backrest. Then just buy the backrest pad you want.

The link is H-D part # 52589-09A for 09 and later. 52587-09 is for 88 - 08 bikes.

If you buy a used backrest with mount, the worst that will happen is that you'll have to spend about $10 to replace some of the minor hardware that attaches to the mount, in order to fit your bike. The mount is the same part.

Or here. step #8 on the pic has the air deflector installed.
