AC ( it stands for Albert Champion) isn't supposed to be any better. Who knows? That is just what I was taught many years ago.
I always LOL’d at the d-bags that always said “I never run Champions in my GM, only AC”. Yeah well smart guy AC is Champion, Albert Champion.

I can see I will be cutting open an old Champion spark plug in the near future so see what the electrode looks like...

NOTE:
FWIW... I found a couple cut away views of spark plugs. I compared a Champion v NGK copper plug cutaway... although slightly different in their material composition, it seems they have the same basic construction design...

Yep I see that. I wonder if it was the same 45 or 50 years ago?

I certainly don't know what they were 50 years ago... not sure I see the advantage, particularly when it comes to cost, to use a two-piece copper core... but that wasn't the point for me anyways...

It gave me actual manufacturing differences to look for.... and I was looking to see if the "badmouthing" they get from some people had a factual basis or if it was personal preference, anecdotal experiences ... I guess those opinions could have had much merit 50 years ago, but at this point I was just trying to see if today that prejudice is valid...

I'm not usually "brand" loyal, but I have had old experiences that have formed my opinions... For example, based on experiences of a friend, and me personally, from the 70's... I won't use anything with the "Fram" name on it... That could also be old info... btu if someone gave me a case of oil filters for my Jeep that were "Fram"... I'd toss them in the trash... SCientific or what...
