Default New Headlight Design for Touring Models

Have you seen the new headlight design introduced at the Dallas Harley Dealer Show last week? I just got one in for our bike. Here's a link- Interesting part is that Low beam is bright and wide, but when you switch to High beam- BOTH light are now illuminated giving a huge light pattern!!

here's the link:

Sounds pretty slick, has a unique look as well. I've never understood why turning on the high beam on any vehicle turns off the low beam. If I want more light, why are some of the lights going OFF?[:@]

Thats a nice looking light. Im thinking the reason for the passing lamps going off when you turn on the high beam is that maybe the charging system wont keep up?

I've wondered for years why they couldn't improve on the headlight.

That 1 is SWEET!

I got to see one in person yesterday at Crossroad's H-D in N. Wilkesboro, NC and it looks cool, but it resembles the lamp on the new Vulcan 2000 to closely for me. And it's a little pricey, as are all things new at H-D. I think they said $129.00 but don't quote me on that...

I am going to replace the lamp on my 99 just because it's hazed over and looks milky, but I think I'm going to use the logo lamp that came out in 04 on the touring models. I like that traditional look...

A honda CBR599 runs a dual bulb headlight, which looks very similar.

I'm not buying it...I'll bet there is some weirdness to it. A car is the same way...
