Personal preference really. I liked the stock fairing mount mirrors. I put 10" bars on my SG, so they were blocked and I had to get bar mounted mirrors. With 14" your hands might be high enough that fairing mount mirrors might work. One of the pics above has the mirrors mounted under. Why not just go with fairing mount at that point?

Ive run 12’s and 10’s. For a taller rider the grips partially obscure fairing mounted mirrors. While the bar mounted mirrors underneath might not be any lower than 3” lowering brackets from where the KST moves the fairing mounted mirrors, the fact that the bar mounted mirrors are closer to the rider means the grips aren’t blocking your view.
Right. I put them under to see how they would be. They pretty much are where the fairing mount would be. Trying to find a nice pair that arent cheap plastic and would use the hole I have for them already. A lot of them are showing I have to drill a hole.

This! Under mounted mirrors are not blocked by the grips; fairing mounted mirrors are.
@kloccwork419 , why not just go down to Lowe's and get some fairly still aluminum bar stock and fab a set just to see if it would work? Then, if you like the placement, you can look for a good quality set at a price you'd be willing to pay. I have considered the same; I already have the hole and I already have the stock fairing mirrors. All I'd need is some flat black or satin paint to mask them while I ride with them on a trial basis.

You took that out of context. With 14's the bars are likely high enough. With 10's I had to get mirrors and bar mount them. I prefer above.
Ape mount for me on my 16". I can see so much better than I could with stock bars. And, not below the bars either, those look super goofy to me. Some may think that mine look goofy to them too, but it's all good, because I and my passenger can both see out of them.

I just took a set of chrome fairing HD mirrors off my 15' SGS before I traded. Also have the OEM black if you're interested both are in like new condition just PM me.
