Sunpie headlight question.

I installed my Sunpie headlight in my 2014 Streetglide. The light seems like it is on high beam all the time. When I push the high beam switch the light come on on the gage but the light does not get any brighter or the cut off line doesn’t seem to raise anyone have this problem.

yep, you got what you paid for.

They aim VERY high, there is no way to get them down, the high beam could be used as a Bat Signal

that is not the issue. The light does not get brighter and the cut off line does not change when I hit the high beam switch.

Did you test it by shining on a garage door or a wall? If so, and it still exhibits the same behavior, I’d say you have a defective headlight.

Have a Sunpie in the wife's Freewheeler, sons Dyna, sons new Sporty and installed them in a few friends bikes. All work perfectly. Sounds like you have a defective unit. As far as the "get what you pay for" comment. 450.00 for the HD one? I think not. Send it back.

Have you verified that the headlight you removed worked on both hi & low?

Have you looked at the light itself to see if the second light source NOT on in low beam actually lights up when hi beam is selected? If it doesn't start there to figure out what is wrong. Check power to the high beam wire when high beam is selected If the second light source lights when high beam is selected, your wiring is good and the light is aimed wrong internally. If you don't have power to the high beam contact in the plug, trouble shoot that problem. Have you verified the ground wire is well grounded? Are BOTH low and high light sources on all the time? Again, check the plug for proper power separation and if the wiring to the plug is functioning properly, the light assembly has in internal wiring/power distribution problem (faulty).
