Default jiffy stand

A guy I work with just had a street glide delivered last night.
He is a bit over weight and his legs are a bit short.
He stands about 5' 8"
He is complaining about the jiffy stand being to far forward.
He is having trouble reaching it when he first gets on.
He has not much trouble deploying it just the opposite.

Do they make and extension for jiffy stands?
Thanks

HEY!!!!!!!!!! you just described me! If he has a problem with the jiffy stand have him slide forward, lift the jiffy stand then slide back. Works for me.

I have the same problem. I'm 5'7" with short legs. The jiffy stand extension that H-D sells only helps when you're trying to pu the stand down. I won't help at all when you're trying to pull it back up. What helped me was to bend the flange up so that it's higher, and I can snag -- with a concerted effort -- that flange and then pull the stand up. A center stand might be a good alternative.

I have the extenstion and still had the same problem, hard to reach to pick up the stand. My solution was pretty easy. After I get on the bike and stand it upright I lift the left floorboard with my foot and THEN reach for the jiffy stand. Lifting the floorboard out of the way makes it a whole lot easier. Hope this helps.

I'm 5'6" with a 28" inseam. What I do is start the bike, take the weight off the jiffy stand, leave just touching and ease froward, then pull it up. With a little practice it works really well.
