I recently installed new bars on my 2011 SG. I ended up soldering the TBW and upon startup after reinstalling the bars the bike was held at wide open throttle but when I twist it, it DECELERATES. Would resetting the tps fix this? Im starting to think I soldered something backwards :/
I did this an continued to have minor problems. If I twisted the bars to lock an pulled back on the bike it would trip a CEL. I replaced the senor with a new one an an got the same result. Looks like I have a bad connector in the connector at the frame neck that goes to the throttle body. I got new pins an the crimping tool but haven't tackled it yet.
Check the wiring on your switch packs, look for any exposure, bare wiring making contact with bars will do this, loosen the switch packs and see if it corrects itself.
