I already bought the motor mount. I dont know how to check if its bad. Just too bouncy and its bad? Feels a little excessive with vibrating but thought I would get some opinions. Even the wheel bounces.
You can try to eye ball it , but it would be better to just remove it and inspect it for cracks or breaks . You can also tell if a lot of oil got on it from doing oil changes , that usually shortens their life span . Make sure you follow the proper procedure when installing the new one , to tight = more vibration .
Another thing I would check is the top stabilizer link and mount , if it's loose and easy to twist , get a new one .
When was the last time the swing arm was checked , those rubber bushings might need attention too ,
Which mount did you purchase ? Some of the aftermarket ones are harder than the stock , which will cause a vibe , but probably not nearly as bad as you explained .
If that’s your original motor mount in the video, you probably need to change it. It’s often hard to see any damage until you remove it. This is a pic of my original mount. Looked ok until I removed it. Replaced it with a glide pro.
I boight the mount from jp cycles. Just a jp motor mount. Nothing special. The video is the one thats not changed yet.
Havent checked the swing arm but the stabilizer seems good. Suppose to rain tomorrow so Ill take off the mount and check it for cracks
