What I do is measure the depth. Deduct that from new specs. Then figure out how many miles per 1/32" I'm getting, then you can come close to how many miles you have left. Works pretty good for me.

According to Dunlop's website, tread depth on your OE tires when new:
Front...5/32"
Rear...10/32"

Re the above post, remember that replacement is recommended when tread depth is 1/32 (tread wear indicators) so that means for a front tire you only have 4/32 of wear available and for the rear, only 9/32. If you do your math based on tread depth new without subtracting the 1/32, you will be calculating miles to a bald tire. Slicks may be fine on dry pavement, but if you ever get caught in the rain or ever run through a wet spot, LOOK OUT!
