If this is the case, what the he11 did they do with my '08? I'm no mechanic but wouldn't it run like $hit if they kept original map in and only addedthe SE AC and slipons?

That is a Stage I Legal Touring download.......
Same one I showed you above....
You might have misunderstood what they told you, or they told you an untruth.... Either way, that is what is in your ECM....

So if I have rineharts and a SE air cleaner I can't put these on with the stage 1 download because it is for slip ons and not true duals and wouldn't run right. Looks like I have to wait till the SERT is available.

If you are installing True Dual headpipes on a Touring platform, you MUST use an EFI management unit...
Stock touring head pipe is almost a 2:1, and thereby a different dynamic in the fuel requirements of the cylinders as compared to a T/D install....

One thing I think a lot of folks are thinking is that since a "close" map download works well-enough with their aftermarket slipons that they're good to go. In reality, if the specific parts to the download are not used throughout then the bike is not in a street-legal condition. That (any) factory download only pertains to the specific configuration as submitted to the EPA for certification.

Thanks for your help. I have a SERT ordered and think it can be far better tuned than this map.

so from what i understand two things from this thread.
A. an 07 or prior year SERT device (not map) will not work on an 08, or the maps for prior years.
B. you can only use aftermarket slip-ons with the stage one downloadIF you keep the stock headers intact?
