I used the foam ones for over ten years. They did stop things from rattling, but the CVO units are sturdier.

if there's not a ridge at the top, you can take a good plastic bag and put it inside, then fill it with minimum expanding foam like "great stuff", after it cures, you can remove it and coat the outside of the plastic bag with sheetrock mud and muslin cloth to make a mold. then take laquer thinner and disolve the great stuff plug which would give you an exact copy of the volume of the inner glove box. then you can use fiberglass to make a much better liner. and it'd fit perfectly. if there's a lip at the top though, this process wouldn't work. so much for brainstorming at 6:30 in the morning, huh?
