Thanks Terry! I've been reading posts from you and hundreds others for months ever since I decided on the RG. Once I took my first spin on an RG this past May (while on leave at home) I was hooked. Amazing how riding one will bring you around. I'll be sure to post photos when I bring it home.
I've got about 700 miles so far on my 08 RG, smoothest HDI have ever ridden. No strange tran. noise, fly by wire works well, brembo brakes are best ever on an HD and I think the new tank flows well with the bike. My 08 seems more refined than past models, not to downgrade them just the 08 seems to me to be one step up. Still a little hot ,but then again I've had worse. I like the looks of the black motor and I almost didn't buy the bike because of that. About 44 mpg so far with not a sputter. Overall I am very happy with my Road Glide and I think for me the 08 was worth the extra cash. Get home safe, thanks for being there and enjoy the ride.
Thanks cderider! Glad to hear you like it. Got any pics?
Hey Darren, congrats on your new scoot! I don't stay awake waiting for it... at least not yet. It is weird, though, knowing I'll be walking into the dealer in about 3 months and riding away on a brand spankin' new RG. Post some pics when you get it, OK?
