Well I'm pretty excited. I ordered my 2008 Road Glide in Black Pearl last week. I'm currently overseas and will come home in about 3 months. My bike will be waiting for me at Manchester (NH) Harley-Davidson.
I'm anxious to live vicariously through any of you may already be riding a shiny new '08...
If you or someone you know has a new '08 RG, I'd love to hear about it
PS Please pray for warm dry weather this November in New England... no Nor'easters [&o]
Thanks THall! I can't wait to get home to my family and my new bike! I went home on leave in April and rode an '07 RG around town. It was nice. Loved the six speed. I'm very anxious to see and touch an '08 (mine!) since I ordered mine sight unseen. I'm sure it'll be much better in person...
First, thanks for your service. I have not seen the '08 rg in person, but I gotta say, the rg is growing on me. Get home safe to your family...and the new bike.
That bike is just ****. As you can tell by my sig, I like Roadys too. Easiest bike to customize. Have a great time and thanks for what you are doing over there.
I've got about 700 miles so far on my 08 RG, smoothest HDI have ever ridden. No strange tran. noise, fly by wire works well, brembo brakes are best ever on an HD and I think the new tank flows well with the bike. My 08 seems more refined than past models, not to downgrade them just the 08 seems to me to be one step up. Still a little hot ,but then again I've had worse. I like the looks of the black motor and I almost didn't buy the bike because of that. About 44 mpg so far with not a sputter. Overall I am very happy with my Road Glide and I think for me the 08 was worth the extra cash. Get home safe, thanks for being there and enjoy the ride.
