Default Handle bars

Anybody using chubby 518'shandle bars on ther road king classic?? if so how do you like them for comfort??
I'm 6'1" with a 30" arm, since i went to a sundowner seat, which is great! my back is killing me from my arms always being streched out...

thanks, paul

Paul,
I can't recommend a specific bar for you as I run more to the "runt" end of the litter. I've been riding since '64 (with a time-out for Uncle Sam) and after try & changing bars on bikes over and over I finally just decided to put on a seat I like, put my arms where I want them to be and then measure the rise, width and pullback that I wanted and then shop for bars. However when buddies want bars they just come to my garage and try some on for fit...I must have 25 sets or more. I look for bars for the way they fit me and not for a certain style
(well, except for the pullback drag bars on my rigid shovel). Good luck with your search.

Have WO508's on my '01 RKC & we put WO518's on my son's '05 RKS... I like the WO518's better as they fit the wrist better for me... On the 518's needed to change out all the cables & lines....

I'm 6'4" - You also have to consider what seat you're using....

YES!!![sm=smiley20.gif] I put them on my RKC this past winter and have really been impressed with their comfort and quality of their chrome. I'm 6'3" and also usea Sundowner touring seat. I rode 1,800 miles over6 daysin June and was very comfortable the whole time. I used tohave pain the the middle of my back from the beach bars that were on the bike (nice look!) and that all went away with the 518's. I had the shop change the stock cables at the same timeand though Chubby indicates you can use the stock length I ordered the +2 cables.

There are a number of riders on the forum who've moved over to 518's and theylike them as well. Do a search for Wild 1's orChubby's and you'll find their opinions.

Good luck.

Just put a set of the RK High bars on my '07 FLHRC, best $40 I spent. I'm 6'0" and they fit perfect. 2.25" more rise than stock, same pullback, and about an 1" narrower. I was considering the WO 513s and doin the internal wiring, but right now had to go cheap way out. Install easy, no cable change, did have to retweak the 1/8" brake line a little. Here's some picks:

Stock bars, no tank lift

Stock bars, 2" tank lift

RK High bars, 2" tank lift

Good luck on your search, lots of choices
