Default Rough Idle

I picked up my 06 ulta this past Friday. Put 200 miles on it. Runs great at higher RPM. Very rough at low RPM and idle is very rough. I guess I will have to take it back to the dealer. I have the SE11, stage one and K&N air filter. Hope they can fix it. I enjoy the sound and do not want to put the original equipment back on. Anyone else have an ultra that they got a resolution to this kind of problem.

I have an 06 Ultra with SE mufflers and SE air filter with the K&N. Did you install these items or did the dealer? If the dealer did the install what did they do to add more fuel? My bike has been mapped with the SERT, if the dealer used a stage 1 up load on a bike with the non catalist mufflers you might be a tad lean.

I have the same problem with my 06 Ultra. Read most of the posts before bringing the bike in for the 1K. Mentioned the heat from the heads to the dealer and got the usual answer of the cool down mode to stop from over heating. My wife has an 03 Road king that this has never happened to. Wonder what changes they have made to the 88B air cooled engines. Anyway when I picked up the bike they said the heat was normal and that they checked for codes (funny the heat and cool down process does not set off a code)and there were none . I'm sure the dealer already knew there would be no codes. My bike currently just about stalls when I ride out in the morning and then backfires whenever I down shift or let up on the gas. I think i'm running real lean. I had stage 1 download / SE slipons without Cats and the Air cleaner changed out before original delivery. Help!!!

My bike is FI. The dealer did the install before I picked up the bike for the first time. The dealer was to do what ever they needed to do to make if all work togeather.

With the up-grades made on your bike, you need to have it dyno tuned. The dealer wont do this until it has at least 500 miles on it. I had the same problem with the same up-grades on my 06 RK custom. The dyno tune took care of it, after of coarse adding a SE race tuner.
