Default WILD ONE's on the way!

Going with 575's. I have short little monkey arms so I thought it about time I got a proper bar that gives me the reach I need. I am pretty much relying on you all when it comes to reviews because I havent tried them out yet. I figured how could so many be wrong! Thanks for helping me spend more money![:@]

Do I need new clamps, cablesor anything else?

Who's got the best price? Shooter??? CycleSpot???

OTB

Wait till you guys see the new pipe!!!!!!!!!Fatcat 2 into 1 Gloss black JetCoat! Thanks Bart

I also have cabbage patch arms - when I had my EG I had the 575's and Loved them... I also had Corbin build me a seat and along with the 575's it was a perfect match

Our dealer here was having a double rebate points special today, so I ordered the Chubby 575's, as well as braided lines and chrome controls for my SG. I'll have the dealer do the work. I, too, relied on what others have posted about these bars to help me make my decision. I can't recall reading anything negative about the 575's.

Need to look up the parts #'s but do get the one piece top clamp that HD makes.
Get a 4" over clutch cable or use the stock one and route it outside the fairing (yuck).
The throttle, return, and brake linewill work, but you will have to play with them to get them working right.

However, if you're looking to do it right, get 2" over throttle and return and go to a 2-4" over flexible brake line kit.

I like my cables black. So all I got was a 4" over black clutch cable and made the other stuff work. My brake line is a little Tight! But it looks and works great.

Good luck. It ain't a bad install... BTW...a great improvement over stock.

Here's the pn for the new clamp. I am getting ready to do the same install and the guys on the forum recommended this. Harley, part # 55917-08, (it's a new part). Its only 20 bucks for some good insurance, guess people (including the moco)have been having a problem with internally wired bars breaking at the bottom hole, hence the new 1 piece clamp.
Good luck

I reused the stock clamps when I installed my 575"s. So far, so good.

They 'might" work but spending the $20 is the way to go - both Wild'1 and HD reccomend this - reason being - with the larger bars - more torque can be applied to the clamp area and since that area has the exit hole for the wires - it can become weak and crack/break - not something you want to have happen at speed and if it does - you will hear your self say "crap - why didn't I spend the extra $20 when I had a chance - Not only could you loose control of your bike - your $200 bars are now junk...
