Congrats on the bike, I really think you'll be happy with your decision to get the Road King. My neighbor has a Big Dog chopper, and while it is probably the best looking bike around, he can't ride for over an hour without killing his back.... I got mine to ride, not to stare at in the garage.
Keep your head down over there and come home safe to that family (and bike) of yours.
Best reading on here for a long time! Congrats on being a standup guy! Thank you for the service you unselfishly are providing a rather fickle general public. Many of us are aware of your sacrifices and enjoy your writings of enjoying your wife and riding (in just that order). Remenber what makes the two of you happy and never lose that feeling. Stay as safe as you can and duck before ya need to! I've been to the Ft. too many times recently with the PGR!!
Now about your return.....there are many of us in the KC area that would LOVE to be there when you take delivery of your new steed. What a great day it would be if you would let us know when you're going to be there as I can see many photo ops, cheers and tears a'happenin'. Hell, I smell party!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that was probably the best husband-wife bonding story I've ever read on this forum. Congrats on the great bike and thank you for all you do for our country.
God Bless your wife and kids for hanging in there while you're in harms way.
After you get the bike, if you'd like to ride in the high country, give me a call.
hooha! Recently retired Navy here... wife and I love cruising on our new FLHRC after a 20-yr sabatical from riding. You two will love it. Be safe in the desert!
