I would be Proud and it would be an Honor to Shake your hand! Thank you for your sacrifices! I wish you many many memories like the one you have now of that Beautiful weekend with your wife and a Harley!
Thank you very much for the exceptional Read!!!! Stay safe over there so you and your wife can enjoy that King.Thank you for doing the hard job of defending our great country.....even if the liberals dont quite get it.
Let me echo what many others have said, thanks for your service to our country.
I have had my 2008 Road King Classic now for just a little over a week (July 27th). I have put 1150 miles on it the first week! It's easy and fun! Wife was on the bike with me for probably 70% of these miles. I will state the obvious that you already know -- You are going to love it! What a dream! Don't be surprised if you all are dissappointed with the stock seat. We were and have already replace it with a Sundowner for about $270 after the 10% discount for the 1st 30 days the dealer offers. It is much better, but I still might end up going with a Corbin a little bit down the road.
I was going to do the stage one upgrade (racing tuner, air cleaner, etc) initially but decided not to near to the closing date. I won't say I will never do anything to the engine, but I am extremely happy right now with the 'stock' power and some V&H slip-ons for a little throater sound.
Be safe over there and come back to us a healthy husband, dad, and son and oh yeh -- be ready to ride!!!!
God Bless
Keep your head down and stay safe.
You'll love the RKC. I traded my Springer in on one and haven't looked back. Still love the classic looks of the Springer, but that RKC is just too sweet.
Fun post! You'll love the King. And its a quick 20 second deal to drop the screen for those around town scoots. I am definately enjoying mine. I was in the same boat on the "geezer glide" at 40. But after riding the road sofa, I am all in on baggers now!
Thank you for your service. Your in our prayers for same passage there and back!
