I found a local seller selling one of these FuelPak LED (older style) units that fits my 08 Road King.
My bike has a set of slip ons, but is otherwise is stock.
Ive read that these units dont marry to the bike, which ive confirmed on the V&H site. So no issues there.
After finding the correct map, on the site. Should I expect to see any gains like the other Digital FP3 units? Similar to unlocking more "stock power" for lack of a better term.
Or will it do basically nothing as I think the stock ECU has enough tuning capabilities to factor in a slip-on only?
Currently the bike runs good. Very little (next to none) popping or backfiring.
Sellers asking $75 cad.
Those are kind of primitive fuel controllers, not really tuners. With only running slipons it's probably something you don't need, especially since the bike is running ok. For the money, it might help richen up the fuel mixture, and the bike will run cooler. Don't expect much in the way of power increase, although it might be a bit more responsive.
At that price it could be worth a try, and if it doesn't work out you can resell it.
