Thank you all. I can see clearly now-I will wait until the "06 models arrive in (spring) '06. PEZ, would you please post this forum when the '06's are available?

I really think Pez is a stand up guy. Any recommendation from him I would stick with it. I send him a e-mail yesterday to get some information on a custom radio set-up. Instead of sending me an e-mail he gave me a call to discuss my options. That's customer service and he's very knowledable regarding radios.

Hey Pez,

My '06 has the Harmon-Kardon speakers which sound pretty decent but they have a nasty rattle. Even the service writer at my dealer admitted this and some others have mentioned it on this site. The dealer is gonna put new speakers in for me but I am planning on your product anyway cuz I think the new ones will still have the rattling problem.

Two questions:

Have you run into this rattle issue with the new speakers from the MOCO?

Are your speakers considerably better than the Harmon-Kardons's (discounting the rattle of course) that are in the new bikes?

Thanks!!!

Hey Solo

Depending where you are, yor riding season is all but over for the year. In Feb/March we will have 2 ohm speakers specific to the HK system--and I would wait!!. I have heard other complaints about the new speakers. Im surprised that HD would make such an impovement on their speaker, but have the same inherent problems they had on 98-05 bikes. They are SO intersted in waterproofing, they sacrifice performance--BIG TIME

I have a hand made set of the 2 ohm speakers in my scoot now--and they are NOT coming out! Loud and clear upto 140 kilometers per hour (85-90 MPH)

On top of front speakers which will come out first, we will also have rear speakers for 06 Ultras, and then a complete audio solution for non Ultra models............more to follow

Hey Pez, When you say a complete audio solution for non ultras, do you mean you are working on a stereo upgrade? I have an 05 Roadglide with your speakers( thanks for the great service by the way) and I think the stock system is crap. I am planning on using the Biketronics kit at tax return time but if you have something in the works I will wait to see what you offer.

Hey Scotto

Glad you are enjoying the speakers. Hogtunes is working on a large project including an amplifier that we feel will be "the solution" real riders are looking for. It in NO WAY will include a head unit of any kind. We could do it in theory, but the finances needed and the warranty issues could easily bankrupt us--the screwing we would get would NOT be worth the screwin we take

I plan on making a formal release on what were up to as soon as some licensing details are dealt with. Should be in the next couple of weeks. Dependong on your bike--could be worth the wait??????

Lets keep in touch--and email me anytime

Pez, will the new amp fit in with my 01 ultra, or is for 06's and up only.

Hey Joe

Good to hear from you---we move to our new place in Barrie mid March! Anyways. I dont believe the amp will be for you. Will make more sense when the whole project can be explained!

Cheers--and Ride Safe--looks like we may have a rideable Saturday!!!!!

Pez, off topic for a moment, I've been working down the road from you for the last few days, Airport and Steeles, and I rode yesterday, and hope to if it's any better tomorrow. Not many days left.

Hope you like the new place. Don't forget, I'm in the plywood business, so if you need boards for racks or shelving give me a call.

Back to business, I hate the tape player I have now. Should I go the ipod route, or start from scratch. I also need an amp, what do you recommend for my bike.

Thanks

Joe

PS. I dont mean to "correct" anyone, but Im a little more than the rep for HOGTUNES. Get enough Molsons in me, and I might show you the stretch marks from givin birth to the brand!

LMAO Any and all corrections appreciated!! Your product is on my list of initial upgrades when I get home to work on my Street Glide, and I'm waiting for the 2 ohms... Careful, though, I may show up at your door one day and start pouring Molson's down ya just so I can get the pics!!!

Appreciate all your help in this forum, it's one of the reasons I'm going with you over any of the options. That and all the great customer comments!!
