Yes if you use the true duals you will have to re-tune. I would suggest if you don't want too loud, try some V&H oval slip ons. I had some before and was real happy with them. If you go on long trips rineharts get old real quick, if you just ride around town/short trips there O.K.

I will give a road test tomorrow. I am having the td v&h set up with their fuel manager and screaming eagle air. I have heard the v&h slip on's and they are not to loud but do have a bark when the right hand twists the throttle.
I have the road house classic's on my honda and they are perfect sounding for me but I didn't like the power loss at the upper rpm's. The lower rpm's is great. I have had no issues with the chrome or tips. I have used v&h many times and was always happy with them. That is why I am using them again

I would really like to change everything out from the stock, but not really loud. Would you say the V&H TD system is quiter?

I just recently went with the Supertrapp SE slip-ons as a part of the Stage 1 package (mufflers/power commander/air cleaner). the sound of these pipes is really nice, low note, not annoying at idle or cruise, but they come alive as you pour on the gas. Always able to hear the tunes.

I picked up a package from Fuel Moto USA at a good price, they also have a Rush pipe package and lot's of people really like the Rush and they're a bit lower priced.

I have been contemplating your choice for quite sometime and have decided on the following:

Rush Slip on's with 2" baffle - They sound great and are much less expensive then the RH. Also when it comes to performance the 2 into 1 is best but I couldn't do that as I don't care for the look. Next best is slip on's utilizing the existing crossover on our bikes. This allows for "scavenging" to take place. Last in performance is TD

Ness Big Sucker - This is pretty much the same as the SE AC but the backing plate is nicer on the BS since there are no rubber lines to dry rot and crack. I had that problem on my other bike.

SERT - I used the canned map that came with the tuner and so far so good. No decel pop.

I was back and forth on the baffle size 1.75 or 2 inch. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for availability on the pipes and happened to stop in the dealer today. He had the 2" in stock so I took them. Sounds great, throaty but I can still hear the radio. Even though I will likely not need the radio as much any longer. I want to hear the pipes.

Good Luck. PM me with any questions.

Same bike as you 07 SG

Stupid question, what is the SERT?

Dealer quoted me the exhaust, SE A/C Kit, EFI Race Tuner kit,and a kit- EFI race tuner?

Screaming Eagle Race Tuner - Allos you to reprogram the ECM for additional fuel to keep it cooler and reduce decelleration pop. When you change the AC and the pipes the motor will flow better.
