Default Mirrors under the bars

I'm in the process of purchasing items to add apes to my Ultra and was wondering what is needed to mount my mirrors under my bars? Not even sure I want to or will need to but just trying to cover all my bases. Once I start the project I don't want to have to stop and order additional parts if I can help it.

I tried this when I had 14s. Just reverse them and install upside down in the normal lever perches. Personally I never could get them where I could see anything, so they didn't last too long in that orientation.

Well the hole goes right through......so I figure you can just put them in upside down......I'd never have them that way but to each his own........

Shows how much attention I have paid to the bracket. Didn't realize the hold when clean thru. Problem solved then I guess. Thanks fellas!

I’m running mirrors under some 10” bars. Finally decided I have to divert my eyes just far enough that it feels like its costing me just a few milliseconds longer than I like when things get sporty in traffic. Plus my elbows block some of the view if I’m slouching, sorta like my shoulders did up top with the standard short stem mirrors.

Just got some long stem HD mirrors in today to put up top and see how I like that.

I’ve always ran them underneath on apes, I personally can’t stand the mouse ear look with them up top but I know that’s an individual choice. I normally run Arlen Ness mini ovals but just got a pair of Arlen Ness mini stocker forged mirrors, the stem is longer than the mini ovals so I can see better. Do you already have the plastic plugs to fill the hole in your fairing from the oem mirrors? They are cheap on Amazon and pop right in. Here is a pic of my bike with the mini ovals and the longer stem mini stockers.
