Default Regular vs Low kickstand

I have a '16 FLHTK that has 11" shocks instead of the 13" OEM air shocks.

It seems to me that I need a slightly lower (shorter) jiffy stand. I ordered a "Low" HD jiffy stand thru the local HD dealer and it's the same length as the OEM. A different part number that only gets me an extra boot tab.

Am I chasing a ghost?

New "Low" stand on left, OEM on right.

I used a drag -1 on my Road Glide. Worked great with a 21” wheel and 2” drop. 1” drop in the rear. 18 FLTRX

You can get shorter jiffy stands from aftermarket suppliers. I put one on a friend's Deluxe that she had lowered. Can't remember the brand though.

I know these companies have them...
Arlen Ness
Pingel

I've lowered my King when I got the 21" front. It sits a bit more upright than I want, and luckily the wind hasn't knocked it over yet. Looking to get the 1" lower jiffy soon.

Not sure why Pingel is pricey, but they've always been pretty high on their stuff.

As the lower jiffy angles the bike over more, my plan was to just level the bike to check fluids. Is that what you do?

I just got a 6 degree automotive pinion shims and fitted (trimmed and drilled) behind the jiffy stand mount. All is good. Cost was about $14
