Default Passenger Floorboard Risers Question

The bike in question is going to be an '08 Ultra with ABS. My son is 6 years old, 52" tall, and has a 22" in-seam. Will the 2.5" rise provided by Part# 50768-07 be enough so that my son can reach the floorboards? Does anyone know how much taller the Kuryakyn riser is than the stock floorboard?

Thanks,

Frank

Not sure about the floorboard question, but at 52", your boy is going to be tall. Get that boy some sneakers and a basketball. LOL. My oldest daughter is nearly eye level with my wife and wears the same size shoe as her (womens 8). She is, by far, the tallest in her class. And thin as a rail. I expect modeling will be in her future. Although, she also gets straight A's, and has an artists eye, so who knows. Sorry to highjack your thread.

KURYAKYN'S are a bit taller - but the useable adjustments (2) move the peg up & fwd... My Grandson is also 52" tall (but a bit older (lol)) and he can reach - in fact he went on our last Bike Vacation to Hollister Rally and No Cal... Never could keep him off the Bikes... (lol)

I have the Kuryakyn's as well and my son who is now 11 has been riding comfortably. Also adult (female) passengers also enjoy the different foot positions.

Kuryakyns raise up a good 6 inches above the stock boards and work good for the verticaly challenged. Just make sure your passenger keeps her/his feet off your side covers. The paint on the side covers is easy to scratch. I ended up buying Harleys decorative trim rail pieces for $60 to save my paint

Well, if anyone is interested, the distance between the stock floor boards and my son's shoe sole is 3.5". Therefore, the 2.5" rise would not work. I spoke with Kuryakyn Technical Support this morning and it looked like a workable solution. However, I told him that I was buying an 08 with ABS, he would not guarantee that it would work on the '08. He indicated that he had an 08 the the engineers are working with and most of the stuff that worked on the 07 doesn't work on the 08 (grips, fork mounted stuff, etc). His reccomendation was to let the dust settle a while to see what is what.

I need a set of the Kuryakyn's myself for my daughter.
I just looked at the Kuey site and totalled up all 3 pieces that are required for an 07 dresser....grand total of $330, not including shipping.[]

Holy passenger pegs batman, that's a lot of green!!!

my girl is 5 foot and I put on the floorboard risers and she loves them. She can sit flat footed now. I wasn't sure they would clear my Rhinehardt TD but no issues there.

I REALLY NEED 1 more inch out of the HD floorboard risers. I can't get it done, the bike purchase will be in the spring. I was looking for 1" inserts but, did not see any. Anyone?

Thanks,

Frank
