Can be a waterproof remote or wear under your riding gear.
Works on more than one bike in your collection.
Right hand operated thus allows clutch remaining engaged.
Makes the spousal remote a happier person.
Work with gloves.
Won't get stolen off of the bike.
Does not require HD price inflation.
Comes with a warranty.
Cheap adaptation to the bike.
Never has to be dismantled from the bike that you sell or trade in.
Always within reach.
Adapts readily to riding skills.
Easy battery access.
Fast installation time.
Doesn't mess with your customization look.
Did I say cheap already?
That's exactly what I use, although I keep it in my waist bag.

I soldered a momentary switch to mine and mounted it under the right side cover, a quick reach under my right leg is all it takes.

rk classic.

I have an open shop and don't have a garage door. I'm a peasant. Thanks for reminding me...

I had an extra remote laying around so years ago I did some research and figured out how to wire it into my high beam switch. It's been working flawlessly. Mounted inside the fairing and 12 volt powered so I never need to worry about a battery. It works flawlessly (I already said that) and it saves me from having to buy cookies.

I use the exact same opener as the original poster showed as pictured......I have mine in the cell phone slot in my Ultra Limited fairing. To prevent it from falling out accidentally I tied it to the USB connector with a small piece of elastic cord. It's worked perfectly for the last 5 years.

Default There are alternatives for example the GeezerGlide one ...

https://geezerglide.com/products/rem...ge-door-opener

It is waterproof
Has warranty 12 month
It won’t get stolen (unless you take the effort to complete uninstall)
Always within reach WITHOUT having to take your hands off the handlebar!! I think this is important especially when you drive at slower speeds towards your garage door and you definitely do not want to take your right hand from your handlebar/brake control ...
Can be operated with gloves
It is always there where you need it – on your bike
No need to find the clicker and then put in on your belt or pants every time (of course unless you wear the same pants all the time without washing them &#128522
No need to check or replace batteries because it is powered through the motorcycle
OEM style – looks like Harley add-on, feels like a Harley add-on, and tastes like a Harley add-on 😊 ….
Solid aluminum
Operates 2 garage doors or one gate & one garage door (so you do not need two “clickers”) 😊
Spouse happiness included, too
Of course there is always a cheaper alternative 😊 …
