Question Headlight lens
2002 EG Classic
My headlight lens is a little cloudy. I bought a 3M headlight restoration kit and reading the instructions it states not to use on glass. I think my lens is plastic as most newer autos but can't tell for sure.
Anyone know what it is made from.

Any thought to upgrading to an LED like the reasonably priced Sunpie units?

I always thought the lenses were glass. Try tapping on it gently with a metallic object. If it "tinks", it's glass.

It's not me, but if it were, I'd simply replace it with an LED model and be done with it. Headlights are a safety item and should be working as well as they possibly can.

They usually cloud up on the inside ... Several threads on this topic ... Remove and clean with a solution and dry ... Good luck

That lens is glass. The 3M restoratrion kit won't hurt it. It just won't work.

yes that. I would just replace it. MANY options out there.

Easy fix for clouded lens, remove headlight, remove bulb, pour alcohol, not JD, swish around, use soft material moved around the lens to dry with the eraser end of a pencil, reassemble.

My 2003 RK is a little cloudy too. Good tip to remove and clean the inside with alcohol. Hope it's as easy as it sounds.

yup, as said the fog is inside. I used to clean mine with some raw rice and detergent. just pour those inide plus water, slosh the hell of it around then drain and rinse - looked brand new afterwards, at least for 1-2 years

then i just moved to LEDs like everyone else. much better light.
