Default ABS Issue

2013 ultra limited 146,000 miles. Been into dealer every two years for brake system flush. Was in about a month ago ABS light comes on when the weather is hot . Tech told me it had a code for front wheel speed sensor. replaced it and light stays off until the heat of day gets to it. Next morning light is off until I stop and then start again. That's what it did last year until winter , light was off until summer. Bearing were checked at last tire change. Brakes always work fine and cruise control works. What do you think??

A reoccurring problem like this for me has most times been tracked down to a wiring connector .
Can be corroded , not plugged together good, poor terminal contact.
Have found a breaks in the wire itself , even when not through the wire insulation.

The hot and cold thing makes me think terminal contact as much as anything

The first place to ck is the visible wiring going to the speed sensor
Then I would go to the connector for the front speed sensor inside the fairing.
If it's in good shape clean it with a spray cleaner called Di Oxit
See if that helps it then go from there.
Just an example you can get it lots of places

.... 146,000 miles. I am surprised ABS still works. Need to read codes on odometer....I think ABS is linked to that.

Could be brake system related or could be the ECM. I realize what I'm about present is Daimler-Chrysler related but electronics are electronics and they sometimes fail.

I have a 2007 4.7L Jeep Grand Cherokee at 163K. Recently started getting "Random Misfire" code during really hot weather (95° or so). I changed the usual suspects like TPS, MAP and cleaned the MAF sensor as well as chased a potential defective coil but problem persisted. Finally got "Open Circuit Fuel Injector 5" so I changed the injector only to have the problem continue. A few occurrences got "Open Circuit Fuel Injector 5 or 3 or 4 and one occasion multiples of the three injectors. I changed the ECM and the problem went away. May not be your problem but if you can't nail it down through the normal processes it may be worth looking in to.
