Nice bike. That Corbin setup alone would run you ~$1,600 new. Black Book Powersports has average retail for a 2015 Road King at $14,125.

Model Type: Cruiser
Displacement: 1690
Cylinders: 2
VIN: 5HD1FBMAF
Finance Advance: $12,710
MSRP: $18,449
Avg Retail: $14,125
Auction Wholesale $11,860
Clean Trade: $11,530
Fair Trade: $10,510

Since they are a dealer, and the asking price is below Average Retail, it's not a bad deal.... IMHO

For me, the nine pages of maintenance records is worth a lot...!! You rarely get that kind of maintenance history with a used bike. It suggests they may have sold the bike new, and the prior owner had them do most (if not all) the maintenance.

You certainly will be able to find a 2015 with fewer miles on it, there are a lot of "garage Queens" out there. However, if those maintenance records don't show any recurring issues, I wouldn't be concerned about the mileage... I might try to use it to get a slight price reduction.. I'll bet they played up the mileage during the trade-in discussions and didn't give much over the "fair trade" price of $10,500. So IMHO, they have some room to work with..

Of course, I would want to see it in person to make any final decision. Pictures can hide some of the bad, and accentuate the good. If you know Harleys (or can take someone with you who does), there are things you will only spot during an in-person inspection..

Good luck on your bike purchase...
Thanks for the info! The maintenance records show that the owner had it in 3 or 4 times due to the clutch slipping. It was in for the clutch slipping the first time at 4966 miles. It was in the shop a couple other times for clutch issues then the clutch was replaced at 21725 miles and the cable at 25060.

Having the maintenance records is a major positive in my opinion. Coupled with all the add-ons, new tires and ABS, I don’t think the price is too high, even considering the mileage. There are still thousands of miles with smiles in that bike.

What everyone else said and I'd add that passenger backrest, rider backrest, fangs, luggage rack are all super easy add ons and readily available as used parts. If you want abs, don't settle for one without, you can't add that. The corbin seat is a very very good seat but it's not for everyone, if this is your first bike, just know they are very hard and it's just a personal preference to find one that works for you. Worst case there's a big market and you'll be able to sell it and cover nearly any other seat you'd want with the exception of the heated/cooled seats.

On road kings I'd say right now about $900 /model yr is decent. Street/road glides $1000, specials and ultras a bit more.

extras are only worth it if its waht you want. It looks pretty tidy. New tyres theres a few dollars. well maintained mileage means bike is fine. Things they cant advertise. Engine mods. Cat delete!. If they are firm on price get a lube service chucked in.

i was going to say the same thing. don't get too caught up in the minor things, like fangs, etc. they can be added later. but look for the major, important stuff. if you want abs, don't settle. even the ac and exhaust can be changed later if absolutely necessary. if you can find a used bike that has the options that you want, great. just don't get too caught up in them that you miss out on a great bike because it doesn't have fangs...

that's a nice looking road king. if it's what you want, go for it. don't place too much stock on what people on the internet say about pricing. there is always going to be that one person that says that they traded a 1994 sportster straight across for a brand new cvo and the dealer threw in the first 3 services. if you're happy with the pricing, don't second guess yourself. if you overpay $500 now, you will quickly forget about it with the enjoyment that you get from the bike. just don't take food off the table for it and you'll be good.
