Hello there. I have a 2012 road king classic. I seem to have right rear turn but no running and a left turn but no running. Brake light works but blows brake fuse when pressed.
thinking a short somewhere for the brake but stumped.on turns/running light problem. Could my diode pack became faulty? I have abs as well.

FROM THE FACTORY, Road Kings did not have turn signal/running light/stop lights in the turn signals. They were turn signals ONLY. If you still have the yellow lenses the conversion kit has not been installed, as it comes with red lenses to replace the yellow lenses. The conversion kit makes the single filament 1156 bulb light dimly for the running light function and the bulb lights at full brightness when the turn signal or brake is activated. If that converter is installed, the dim feature may have malfunctioned or has all together failed and that may also be causing your short. I installed my converter around 2009 and have no clear memory of the wiring or appearance. I traded in the bike a bit over a year ago, if I still had it I would take a look and tell you what to do to disconnect the converter if you have it and see if the fuse still blows when activating the brake light. Hopefully, someone else can step in.

True the Kings did not come with run/brake/turn from the factory. This is the module you should have on your King for the conversion. I added this on my '13 King and is plug-n-play and connects to the rear light harness under the seat next to the rear fender. I have since changed all my lights to LED and got a smart load EQ from Custom Dynamics. The load EQ can do more things than just make the lights run/brake/turn.

YOU are just the man I need to talk to. 1. Did you get the Harley or CD module? 2. Do the LEDs vary in brightness enough to obviously change illumination when braking or using the turn signal? What (source and number) LEDs are you using? I have wanted to add this to my King but was concerned that the LEDs would be nearly the same brightness in the run function as in the brake function. 3. Are the LEDs noticeably brighter than the 1156 bulbs, especially in brake mode?
