Remove the cat. Ok my bike is all stock. If I remove Cat, do I have to tune it or add a tuner ?
I asked this exact question to one of the guys at Fuel Moto about an hour ago. (I had been discussing one of their products and in the meantime was just wondering the same thing you are.) Will let you know what I hear if someone else doesnt answer here first.

No tune is needed just changing the exhaust or removing the cat. Would it run better with a tune ? YES ! The ECM will bring back the targeted stock tune no matter what you do to it, unless you install a tuner. A cheap way to richen it up a little is the Vied's sold by DK Customs. Stock bike is just so damn lean right out of the box.

This is what Fuel Moto said yesterday about removing just the cat on an M8, and nothing else.
"You would need a tuner if you removed the cat no matter what else has been done. The bike is unable to correct fuel delivery for the removal of the cat."
on my ultra i put vance and hines slip ons and decat the headers sound was great and i never tuned it. it ran great and it being a ultra its not a race bike. it opened it up for the motor to breath i noticed it right off the bat.i had it for 8 years before trading it in for a smaller bike. JMO
I have been using Ward's fans for the past several years, never turn them off. Having said that I do not ride in cold weather and it does not get real hot in summer, low 90's on occasion. There is absolutely no question, they will reduce engine temp. significantly stopped or moving Some have stated their right leg gets hot from the fans but can't say it has ever really bothered me. Forget the engine ever getting too hot in traffic, they work. If at all interested in going this route, you will now need to peruse the Love Jogs site for Mighty Mites Cooling Fans. Just a suggestion.

Harley rear cylinder fan works great in conjunction with these too as it sucks the heat off of the rear cylinder and deflects it to the ground where is where much of the heat is sitting there and not as easy to move due to the configuration of the cylinders
