I get the Bukake reference...takes a hell of a nasty girl to ride that one. Hey Tommy ********, why don't you go the the Sportster Forum and ask your Sportster questions?!?!
do you think anyone here knows what the "V" means in SV650?
I'm pretty sure not. But I didn't join to have an internet arguement over jap bikes and harley bikes. I work at a Harley Dealership and no one there gives me crap about my bike. But, they also know that a NightTrain and a Sportster will be added to my stable. And they also know, I am not the typical jap rider. I ride. 200 to 1000 mile weekends. I enjoy riding every type of bike there is. My vintage Ducati, my SV, to a Harley and, yes guys, BMWs. I don't really care what you ride, all I care about is that YOU ride. If your bikes faster than mine, who the hell cares? I ride my own ride and I don't go out to race the people I ride with. And something else Mr. Tommy. Your 600cc Kawi doesn't impress me. There isn't an I4 that does impress me. Why? Yeah, they are fast, and yes I have ridden many I4's from a ZX-6R, to the Honda 929, a 2007 GSXR1k, the BMW K12R, K12RSport, the K12S, the R6, the R1, so please don't tell me I can't handle one, all they are good for is speed. They have no Soul. So, you need to understand you are on a Harley forum and they are going to rip you about your bike if you let them, but you also need to understand(and so do other people) that each type of bike is for a different type of riding. I have put more miles on my SV, I bet, than you have on your kawi, and I am a single, working mom. But thats because I enjoy doing everything on my SV,(traveling to Deals Gap on her, commuting, going to the store, or just riding on my day off)just like I will enjoy just cruising and hanging with my friends on my Harley, or riding it down to Deals Gap, or 500 miles in a day. I wouldn't ride with anyone with your mentality. Because you know what? When it comes down to it and we are given a nice set of twisties, my little 650 V-twin will out run your 600cc Kawi. That's what I have built(yes, by myself) my bike to do.
I haven't posted to this thread, until now. Why all the drama over what bike can do what or anything else. We ride, and to me, that is what seperates all of us from the cagers. Give the chest puffing up stuff to the teenagers, and lets get back to riding. JMHO

Agreed, but this kid had all this coming. The debate will never end though. The fun of riding!!!

lol, best post yet. I never said you couldn't handle one. I believe it was one of the other guys that said you can't handle anything bigger between your legs. I think it's great that you ride, and moreso that you have real knowledge about the mechanics of bikes. The SV's are neat bikes, and I was going to get one, but the ZZR was more comfortable to me. As I have said, my mentality is due to experience. And I don't go out to race either. What have you done to your bike? Also, Rush VS Samson, what do you prefer on HD's?
Why would you really care what is the cheapest thing on a BMW?
It is really no more expensive than the Harley, the service intervals are maybe a little less than a Harley. I have seen work orders just as expensive on the Harleys with less work done to them as I have seen at BMW. But I'm really not here to compare apples to oranges.
