Security System (fobs)
15 tri- glide, I rode the bike 2 days ago without a problem. Backed the bike out today and the both fobs do not work any longer. New batteries and still nothing. Pulled main 50 amp fuse and then reinstalled, no help. The ohms on the security antenna read 3.4 and i think this is within spec. I can enter the code and it will take off and i can ride all day, just have to enter the code at every engine shut off. My question is , Now what ?
Battery seems good as the bike starts right up.
I think the system goes directly to the BCM, so does this mean it's bad ? Anything i can check myself ? Nicest weather we have had in a long time and i have to deal with this. HELP!!!

after checking that you have the batteries in correctly, if it still isn't working properly, try new batteries. you wouldn't be the first to get bad batteries right out of the pack.
First check for codes, verify the cable to the antenna is secure and the connection to the BCM. Check the ECM connection too. Anything is possible involving electronics. If you can't find any codes, all connections are clean and secure, nothing has changed or been added to your trike a dealer visit maybe needed. The BCM controls the security function and if it's bad a dealer visit is required to "marry" a new BCM to the ECM.
No codes in the bike and new batteries in both fobs. Connections are clean and tight. I am thinking of stopping by a dealer with both fobs and seeing what they have to say. Be nice if they would just plug it in and see if the fobs just need to be reprogramed to the bike. I HATE going to the dealer for anything. I wonder how much one of the scanners cost ? Sure be nice to have one.

Problem fixed ! Here is what i did and i don't really know why it fixed it ,but it did. Installed new batteries in both fobs and then pulled the max fuse out and then got side tracked and left it out for 1/2 hour. Reinstalled and the damn thing took right off. Still don't know why it ever quit in the first place. We will see how long it stays fixed.
