Default Why Do U Remove Fork Reflectors?

Friend of mine almost got tagged the other nite on his Road Glide... Woman said She didn't see him until she was up close. His bike is completely blacked out.. Which got me thinking.. So luckily he didn't get hit.. But when I got home.. I took a Pic of mine with the reflectors still in place, as I was considering removing cause I like the look of his without. The pic is taken with the flash on to simulate headlights reflecting.. They are pretty visible. Which begs the question.. Why remove them with all of these shitty, distracted drivers roaming around?

True enough, but as you have seen here, not everybody will agree with their effectiveness, and/or if they are actually necessary...

Pretty much the same with any debate these days.....

The great thing about America is being free to think for yourself, evaluate risk, and then make your own choice... well, at least you used to...

More and more, people are being condemned for not "agreeing" with the mob mentality or popular narrative..... kind of sad really...

For me, the reflectors don't bother me a bit. I always leave them on. In fact, once I changed out my lower fork legs and purchased new reflectors to put on those... I ordered the reflectors online and was thinking if I was the only person who ever ordered the fork reflectors from them...??

Again, just my preference, do as you please......

Personal preference ??? Maybe the same reason people remove the "Do Not Remove" tag on mattresses ?? :>)

Because they are crap plastic stuck on with double stick tape! They could have come up with a better looking setup than that.

Reflectors look much brighter in a camera flash then in a headlight at night, not saying they don't help but its minimal.

Beyond that I agree with Uncle Larry and twoglides13, all the reflectors on my bikes come off day one. I do however add plenty of LED lighting that's far more visible in the dark then any Schwinn bicycle reflector

De-badging & cleaner look, but mine stay on...don't bother me a bit (personal preference).

I pulled mine ‘cause they look like some cheap piece of plastic. But, I’m considering the Custom Dynamics LED fork lights, I have their LED saddle bag latch lights abd they are awesome.

Because I don't like the look of them.

They are still in my sig pic below from earlier this year. Pure laziness kept me from removing mine sooner. That and the fact that my black lowers got so pitted, so early. I bought some newer ones and waited until I got around to replacing them.

For me, it's a non issue, I've had them and not had them.
