They are useless. They are so directional that by the time anyone would actually see them, it's too late. Besides I have enough lighting that you can see from the side of my bike that they add zero.
How many of yall who have replaced your forks (chrome, hot legs, etc) put reflectors back on?
I had the rear fender struts (and a bunch of other stuff) chromed on an ‘85 FXR years ago. The reflectors had a recessed place in the struts made for them, so I replaced them. It would look like they fell off if I didn’t. I think Browns even shipped replacement reflectors with the chromed parts. The fork legs had a raised surface made for the reflectors also if I recall, but I didn’t chrome them.
There’s a lot of things in life to get worked up over.
