I have 2 bikes. I took off both of them.
I read somewhere that those refelectors allow the government {shhhhh) to track me using a satelite. They can track me and find out which political rally I attend.
I know it must be true. I am getting notified by BOTH parties for support.
So I removed them, borke them up, burned them and spread the ashes in a 200 mile radius.
that only leaves the GPS tracker in my nav system.
" They made a law to put reflective tape on tractor trailers so people can see them ! "
Wonder if the trailer operator took off the tape because it looked cheap....before the Tesla hit it. I have been driving for well over 60 years and have NEVER needed to change the batteries, repair a broken wire, or change a light bulb in any reflector I have ever had. Add lights if you wish, but reflectors are the original low maintenance safety device.
Still chuckling about the cats' eyes and the pencil sharpener.
If you're depending on other drivers to see you or not hit you, you're doing it wrong. Also, if you call out another driver for being a "woman" or refer to automobile drivers as "cagers" or refer to being hit as "getting tagged" as the OP did, you're probably also putting too much responsibility for your safety on someone else.
I don't. Never bothered me, I think they look fine. As a matter of fact, I had a motorcycle that one of them fell off the left fork, so instead of taking the other one off the right fork leg, I bought another one and replaced it so they matched.
