I had the IDS put on my bike last week. The dealer matched Zanotti's price and only charged about $30 for the install. After tax and labor the total was $239.

Best money I've spent so far on the Road King. Definately makes the bike more enjoyable. No more clatter in 6th gear. Can shift into 6th gear at 60 MPH if I want to instead of 70 MPH.

Just for the hell of it on the way home, I left the bike in 3rd gear as I was coming to a stoplight that I knew was gettting ready to change green... the bike was slowed down to about 10 MPH when the light changed, and I gave it some gas and it powered right back up to speed without any clatter.

I also started out in 2nd gear from a complete stop without any clatter.

I wouldn't recommend doing this, but I just wanted to see how well the IDS fixed the clatter issue. I'm happy.

I've got 3K on the IDS now and it would be worth a lot more than what I paid for it! I know some say that they don't have any issues but they would be amazed if they tried it. Did not seem to affect my milage but raised my enjoyment factor 1000 times.

After reading the above posts I ordered the IDS system from Discountbiker.com. Great service and they pressed the bearing in for me without asking. I ordered two systems, one for a friend and one for myself. Wecompleted both installs in less than four hours. Before on my bike you could hardly hear any noise, know all noise is gone. My friends bike was a different story altogehter. His bike was loud enough for me to hear riding behind him. After the insall, all noise is gone.
We are both happy with the money spent. Price for part: $189.56 , Brg Press $10 , Shipping $15.43
Hope this helps someone make their decision.

Bought my IDS from Zanotti and had it installed by dealer (97.00 for labor) this past week. I then put 250 miles on it. What a difference this made to the driveabilty of my Ultra. No more rocks in a can in 5th gear and no engine clatter. Well worth the money spent.

Now if we could just the MOCO to give us somthing back? Just wistful thinking. I'll keep my receipts just in case.

Ya know there are as many posts about satisfised IDS customers as there were about the clatterglides. Ya think all of them did the install? I'm quessing not, those that spent a bunch on other "cures" won't use it. Though some wanted an excuse to hop up the bike anyway.

Color me happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![sm=alcoholic.gif][sm=biker.gif][sm=happybounce.gif][sm=smiley1.gif][sm=smiley17.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
