Default 2001 Road King carburator storage question

This is my first year storing a Harley with a carburetor. I filled the tank with ethanol free 91 octane fuel the last few tanks and topped it off today and added 1.5 ounces of Stabil 360 stabilizer. My question is, when I put it in the shed for storage and shut the fuel valve off, should I let it run till it empties the carb, or close the valve and let the fuel sit in the bowl ?

I would close the valve and run the carb dry. Did that with my carbed outboard motors on my boats and never had a problem. My son failed to do that on my boat once and caused me a carb disassembly/cleanout.

Every I ran the carb dry then 1 time I leave treated fuel in it. Went to start in the spring, bowl flooded like the dickens. Went back to shutoff fuel then run the carb dry.

best to completely drain the carb and make sure the tank is almost full too.
