Yeah it was. I replaced everything I could think of on the back end, even non damaged parts. Frame wasn't affected. Thanks, will do.

The rear fender bracket was the culprit . Fml.

Well if the tire grew and deformed that much at speed it was going to seriously change the bikes contact point size and handling characteristics, showing it's true colors that early should be a huge red flag to you.

My thoughts too. You said earlier you had at least 1/2" gap. If that tire moved that much, I'd s**t can it anyway. It's not rated for what you're doing with it and consider yourself lucky it happened now and not on the road. Now, go buy a real tire.

Glad the cause was found. yes it's not a dragster, so even withh bigger HP the tire shouldn't distort that much. Better tire and double check loaded sag before you head out again.

Buy "Made In The USA" whenever possible. Well worth the slightly extra price IMHO especially when shopping for tires. Compound formulation, quality control and tolerances are all critical and I just won't trust Chinese made tires.

Most of the time...."we get what we pay for".
