I have a lithium battery on my Sporty going on 4 years now. My RK gets most of the saddle time, but the Sporty fires right up when I start her. I do keep it on a lithium battery tender as the bike has security.

This is the battery most all factory race teams are using. Must use the correct charger for it. Mine is 7 years old and still good - no corrosion

Factory battery went 6 years in my Road King and was still working ok when I replaced it just because of age. For that kind of life another from the dealer wasn't a bad investment in my book .
Not having a kicker as a back up anymore, battery is the last thing I'll get cheap on now.
I bought my lithium bat at batteries plus what a difference it makes. My chick had a slow start when she's hot.. but not with the lithium she's starts strong now plus with the sound system I put on her. Maybe next year I'll get the braille lithium and charger $700.00 or more.
